Attend2IT’s Silent Auction The future of silent auctions
Bringing auctioning to the 21st century the silent auction is simple, flexible, and cost effective.
A paperless option that enables your customers to bid discreetly through phone, computer or tablet making it easier to collate and manage bids while giving that professional touch.
As well as providing the software services our dedicated team will provide the AV equipment to display your auction, the internet connection to run your event and the technical skills to help your event run smoothly.
So how does the
silent auction work?
A silent auction is a fun, successful way of raising money without the auctioneer. Your quests can bid directly from their mobile phone, are updated when they are out bid. And (for the more discreet bidders) have the option to remain completely anonymous. A successful form of entrainment for any event.
We offer various packages depending on the level of support, you can choose to have one of our trained technical advisors on site or run the package yourself by logging into our designated website.
The display can be customised with logos, sponsor slides and colour schemes outputting in full screen.
We recommend you have two laptops with an internet connection, although one will suffice. The first screen will be to display the lots and the other to manage the auction.
Instructions are available to the users in plenty of time prior to the event, they can also be provided to be included in your event literature and will be show on screen before the event takes place.
The bids are sent via text message with simple text allocating the bid to different lots i.e. ‘Lot 12 £100 John Smith’ by adding their names they can see on screen who is winning. If they were to make an error on the text message or add inappropriate language they will be flagged to our control panel before being manually confirmed as a bid.
Bidders will receive a text message confirming their bid, more importantly should they be outbid they will receive a second text message informing them of this and encouraging them to bid again. Winning bidders will be notified by text message.
If your guests don’t all have phones or you wish to have an even more interactive solution then we can also offer iPad bidding (or a combination of both text and iPad).
You can use 1-2 iPads per table, or just a few floating around the room. This gives users a chance to explore the lots at their leisure and in more detail.
Once they are happy with their selection they can bid on the lot by entering their details onto the iPad. They will immediately be informed if they are the highest bidder and the results then appear on the screens around the room as well as being updated on all the iPads.
Your iPads can be connected to the internet using 4g or we can provide Event WiFi for you.
Payment is processed at the end of the auction. Winning bidders are sent a unique link where they can be told where to collect the Lot and how to pay. We can even send a link to pay directly into your PayPal account.
